Matthew 28
Jesus Has Risen
1 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2
There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from
heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7
Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and
is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have
told you.”
I SING BECAUSE
Verse 1
I’ve Been Singing ‘Bout my Lord for so many years
I’ve Sung when I’ve been happy
Even Sung When I’ve had Tears
I’ve even had Folks ask me
If It’s All Been Just A Show
But the Reason That I’m Singing
I Want the World to Know
Chorus
I Sing Because There is an Empty Grave
I Sing Because There is the Power to Save
I Sing Because His Grace is Real to Me
I Sing Because I Know I’m Not Alone
I Sing Because Someday I’m Going Home
Where I Shall Sing Through All Eternity
Verse 2
I’ve Sung to Those Walking Through the Fiery Trial
I’ve Watched Their Saddened Faces Turn Into Happy Smiles
I’ve Bowed my Head and Whispered
Lord, Please do the Same For Me
And I’m Glad That I Can Tell You
He’s Always Given Victory
Chorus
I Sing Because There is an Empty Grave
I Sing Because There is the Power to Save
I Sing Because His Grace is Real to Me
I Sing Because I Know I’m Not Alone
I Sing Because Someday I’m Going Home
Where I Shall Sing Through All Eternity

I don't know how to sing this song but I like to share the lyrics.
The empty grave is the foundation of our faith. All the books of the Old Testament and what God has led Prophets and Men of Faith to testify in the scriptures would have been in vain. We would all have been the most pitiful people, waving a banner of false doctrine.
But Jesus, in all the Glory of the Father, who sent Him, did it all........ He rose and He lives forevermore and is seated in Heaven at the right side of the Father, crowned and glorified. I shall await the perfection of His promises.... to be with Him. I have a hope to rise again, in my incorruptible form........ "I can face tomorrow, Because He lives..... All fear is gone!" Death has been denied!
HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!
Oh Lolita-
ReplyDeleteI would LOVE to hear your voice singing these lyrics of love for God. You are so filled with the Spirit and not afraid to share it with others.
My Mom helped me grow up with a little song that stays with me to this very day:
"Jesus Loves me this I know
For the Bible Tells Me So.
Little ones to Him belong
They are weak and He is strong.
Yes, Jesus Loves Me,
Yes, Jesus Loves Me,
Yes, Jesus Loves Me,
The BIBLE Tells me So.......
I can close my eyes and see her gently singing this to me.
Thank you Lolita-you helped me today.
Love, Martha
Ohh, Martha. I want to touch you today, where the pain is. I so praise God for your life, casting all upon Him and upon the cross.
ReplyDeleteI love that song your Mom sang to you, Yes, Jesus Loves Me. And He loves you too.
I like to hear her voice along with you, soothing you.
Jesus, we need your touch today, Lord. Your soft voice humming a song of love to Martha. Send her you healing grace, O Lord, who rose from the grave, after suffering for our sins.... Thank you Lord Jesus, for that. You know pain too, pain of redicule and pain of the flesh.... we need your healing, Lord. Lay upon Martha's parts that aches,O Lord...we pray!!!
Hugs to you, Martha, and my love for you, in our Saviors Love and grace.
Hallelujah! Our Saviour Lives! And that's why I sing.
ReplyDeleteI can just hear you two singing - one with a Filipino accent, the other with a Texan accent. New Yorkers don't have one! LOL...
Seriously....as Believers we can't help but sing for the joy and freedom that bubbles up in our hearts. All over the world voices of praise are raised to our King Jesus!
(deep sigh)
Hallelujah! He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today....!!!!
ReplyDeleteKing of Kings and Lord of Lords, He reigns!!!
Blessings D! I love you.
(Sigh)
Lolita-
ReplyDeleteYou are just a breath of fresh air my dear!! Your heart is filled with love and care for others. Bless you for these heart-felt prayers spoken for me.
I was up till 4:00am this morning-battling with the Pain-and just kept pushing away, praying and asking the Lord to help me get some sleep. I finally did and my heart tells me your prayers helped.
Something tells me you have the voice of an angel!!!!
Blessings to you dear Lolita..
I am deeply moved.....
love and prayers right back to you dear one.
Martha
Martha, dear-
ReplyDeleteThat is my prayer for you everyday, as my thought fly to where you are, and me imagining what pain there is you have to endure.
I call upon Jesus to give you relief, give you some rest. I know how throbbing pain does not let us sleep. My legs at night, with just tolerable pain, still does not give me sleep..... sometimes I take pain killers, other times I just apply liniments... or bind them with elastic bandage to contain the pain. Yet I know yours to be far greater.... and thus, I look upon God, our Healer.... He will take care of you, I know He does.
my love to you,
Lolita
Lolita-
ReplyDeleteGod has given you such "GRACE" as you are so filled with love for Him, it gives you the strength to look beyond your own suffering with Pain and offer such compassion-filled words of hope for those of us who suffer also with a enemy that can leave us begging for relief, trying to recover from so much lost sleep-to do this Lolita-, its a GOD thing as I call it-HE has filled your heart with love and what a blessing you are in my life.
I pray for you my friend, asking God to give you relief, allow your body to relax and push the wicked Pain aside.
My love is there for you dear one.
Martha
Thank you, Martha. You are, too, a blessing in my life. You are teaching me to be strong all the time.
