10 MINUTE WRITING BURST-MISTY

NOTE I want you to know that this is semi-fiction.  I was just writing this as an exercise.  I am now reading through some creative writing tips online.

One thing is certain though, this one is so me.

In my notepad, I wrote without editing.  Therefore, this version is now edited (as best I could being a baby creative wanna-be).

Perhaps, as I go on, I will make my Fridays' post a creative writing burst Friday.  Who knows, I could improve with practice.  Oh no, I am not wishing to be a commissioned published writer.

Thanks for coming to my first 10 Minute Writing Burst entitled Misty.

It is just amazing how they come alive in the water so much like fishes long been deprived.  Yet when it's time to fish them out of the soaking, it is such a struggle, and once out on dry land, they immediately start to welt down like they really are water dwellers with gills and scales.

I am talking about the grand kids.  They really are adorable and they could

GOOD MORNING, MR. GABI!

MY OFFICE CUBICLE
We call the Taro Root (Colocasia esculenta) Gabi (local name), here in our country.

I became an avid fan of culturing root vegetables as ornamental (indoor) plant.

I brought a fully grown one in my office and here it is.  This is Mr. Gabi.

Every morning as I enter my cubicle, I always greet it a sunny and bright, "Good Morning Mr. Gabi, how are you today?"

Then I would check the water if it is still at the right level, if not it would be bending just like

THE SHIMMERY SUMMERS

A HAMMOCK UNDER MANGO TREES

Summers shimmer at the back of my mind.

Over to the redeemed days at 9,  I come back to find again the mysteries of my childhood mirth.

The leafy arms of the fruit trees fan me to sleep at the close of the day and gently rouses me up at the threshold of another sunshine, laden with new hopes in its pockets.
