I am fond of collecting quotes and one-liners. The above lines are taken from a friend's collection, who shares lots of Godly wisdom in our Multiply community. His name is Alfie Eskander.
If any of you feels like it, you may pick a line or two to make a post and share it in your own blog.
If we are connected and follow each other's blogs, I will be able to catch it immediately. Otherwise, please link. This would be a lovely avenue to share our thoughts about a "one-liner" and in a way, this would be a sure way to "enrich" ourselves with wisdom picked from our circle of Godly-wise-hearted-extravagantly-loving-encouraging people.
Share also, if you have one written in the past, of quotes, which may not be found in those listed above. Just put the link in the comments box. It would be, as sure as five o'clock strikes the face of the clock, I will go and read it. Even if I've been there in the past, still I would re-visit.

This is not an essay writing contest. It is only intended for learning from each other. Who knows what would be stirred by these one-lines in us. No deadline also.
Pardon also for this may tire your eyes, or make you "thought-weary," but will exercise our hearts and wisdom-fill our minds.
Alfie did not put the owners names. So I assume they are free of copyright limitations. But if you recognize any of the quote's owner, I urge you to affix it.
Thanks.
I love quotes and on-liners, as well, Lolita. I always have. They are sermons packed into only a few words. I will "camp" here (as we Amercians say) for a while and gleen!
ReplyDeleteHere is the link to my quotes page (Worth Repeating To Yourself) on my blog:
http://www.warmtheheart.blogspot.com/p/worth-repeating-to-yourself.html
I just clicked on Alfie's name to go to his page, but it wouldn't open for some reason. I'll try again later.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diane, for the link. I am gonna go there, and park too, soon.
ReplyDeleteAs for Alfie's site, I know it is difficult to link to a Multiply account if you are not logged in to it, especially if the owner has set his account to private. Only he and his friends can view his posts.
Anyway, I just put the link, for propriety reasons or so as to disclaim ownership of the collections.
Thank you.
And I have been to your worth-repeating page. I have parked in all of those pages, I cried in most of them, especially Linda's last days with you holding hands; with your Mother-in-law's love which opened your heart to accept love and love back; the pictures of your happy/hilarious kids, yours and Joe's photos, the story about pain and nutrition (which is the one I inquired you about if it was your story, and where is the formula/nutrition that helps ease up pain), your collections, etc.... which you collected before as your Memoirs.
ReplyDeleteAnd to my surprise, when I went back to those "worth repeating" page, I had a quote listed in them, including Pam. And I thought, "ohhh, Diane quoted my line as mine-originally mine. Thanks Di, another tear-initiator, that is.
Wow, Lolita...I'm so blessed that you parked and have read my pages. You get a little glimpse into my life.
ReplyDeleteThe pastor asked for written testimonies so that she can share them. I have SO MANY..don't know which I would share. I'm thinking of just sharing the Forgiveness Rendered story. Of course I'll pray and ask The LORD what He wants me share.
Anyway...Have a wonderful day! With love
and hugs to you and your family, my Filippino sister!
Bless you with your testimony. I know God will use your life story to give proof of His glory and the truth in His promises. All to well to the time of commemorating Easter.
ReplyDeleteGod bless you!
